Baking for our NHS and Care Workers
Within my village a group of ladies decided to join in on sewing scrubs for the NHS and asked if I would like to bake some decorated biscuits to include in their parcels. I loved this idea and although I have a sewing machine it has only ventured out from the shelf on two occasions and not successfully at that!
I decided to create biscuits rather than cakes as they have a longer shelf life and easier to transport. The biscuits can be individually wrapped in cellophane and thus safer from coming into contact from other hands!
I made stars covered in yellow icing piped with the words You are a Star! Some white hearts with a red heart beat line. Also, some with the words A hug, something that we all could do with right now but can’t give to those that need it the most.
If you want to have a look at what the team have been doing this is the Just Giving Page. As long as scrubs and some useful and edible appreciation is needed we will carry on doing this!
